In 2024 one and a half million young people from the 27 member states took part in a large-scale survey supported by the European Parliament and gave 5,000 concrete ideas for the future of Europe. However different young Europeans may be and however diverse the circumstances in which they find themselves, they speak with one voice: so that the EU can tackle global challenges, we need a reformed Europe with more civic participation, more transparency and more effective institutions.

Three experts with vast experience will lead us in the discussion on how civic participation to become a living reality in Europe and transparency to lead to increased trust and legitimacy of decisions; how, at a time of uncertainty, high inflation and climate crisis, to ensure social fairness, inclusion and sustainability. Solving this challenge starts with a dialogue with the young citizens of Sofia and Europe to offer positive alternatives and scenarios for the future.
